An awesome way for our small groups to practice loving and serving our church is through the cleaning ministry. Once or twice a year, each small group has the opportunity to come together for an hour or so and scrub Midtown Baptist Temple, making it presentable for Sunday morning. Everyone is encouraged to be there and people are always hanging out afterwards...see you there.
All cleaning teams are either Friday at 5:30 or Saturday at 12:30. Look Below to see your bible studies cleaning week.

We have been given an incredible task to accomplish while we are on this planet.
Matthew 28:18-20; Acts 1:8; 2 Corinthians 5:17-21; Ephesians 3, etc...
The Great Commission is every believer's responsibility - beginning across the street and spanning the globe by sharing the good news of Jesus Christ, making disciples, training leaders and sending them to reproduce biblical ministry.
As we consider world missions, it's easy for us to fall into the trap of thinking that if we pray for and give to a few cross-cultural missionaries, we have done enough. This is a good start, but we cannot stop here. We are all personally responsible to God's mission! Over the years, the church has isolated missions into another program or something that only the missions director deals with. This needs to change, we need to change. The primary goal of the LFF Mission Focus Conferences is to create a missions culture in our churches that engages every believer to this privileged call from God to expand His kingdom all over the planet.
Mission Focus 19' is a great opportunity for our churches to target our youth through young adults and challenge them to own the Great Commission. ALL are invited to come and be a part of the Mission Focus conference. In the past, God has used this conference powerfully to impact the hearts and lives of people from several churches. We know that He will do the same this year! The goal is to promote the priority of missions to our fellowship of churches. Every member will be challenged to see their personal obligation to participate in missions! To Pray, to Prepare, to Give and to Go!
Our Annual Christmas Party is just around the corner! Every year we get together and celebrate by singing, eating and sharing the message of Christ. C&YA and Friends of Internationals host this event making it a great opportunity to invite your friends. This years event will be held at Midtown Baptist Temple.
Bible Studies are responsible for bringing different food options, please see list below.
CAYA Bible Study Food Planning
MAIN DISHES: Five small groups will have three people bring a main dish that feeds at least fifteen people. If everyone helps, we should have enough food for 225 people. The following Bible studies will have a part in preparing the main dishes. I chose the ladies groups with a larger number of people.
Havilah Guenther (3)
Amanda Allen (3)
Julie Iseman (3)
Breanna Fitzpatrick (3)
Lisa Cheadle (3)
In Total, we should have fifteen main dishes. Also, to help with the cost, you could have each person in the small group bring at least five dollars to help with the cost of the main dish since the main dishes could get pricy. Same concept as driving down to Arkansas every year. (?)
SIDE DISHES: Five small groups will have three people bring a side dish that feeds at least fifteen people. The following Bible studies will have a part in preparing the main dishes.
Miyoko Abernathy (3)
Natalie Anderson (3)
Melissa Wharton (3)
Simin He (3)
Brooke Sidebottom (3)
DESSERTS: Five small groups will have three people bring a type of dessert that will feed at least ten to fifteen people.
James McKelvey (3)
Myles Cheadle (3)
Connor Stubblefield (3)
UMKC Guys(leader?) (3)
Alex Allen (3)
