It seems simple now, but back then the truth that I could trust the Lord to grow me in understanding his word seemed unreachable.

I learned that in times when things don’t seem to make sense, God wants to use that as an opportunity to draw me closer to himself and to grow my trust in who he is.

God used discipleship, the Allen’s, and the local church to teach me everything that should have been taught to me about growing up.

If I was going to yield my will to God and delight in it, I realized that this also required a close relationship with him.
