John 19:1-16

Every one of us has faced moments when we knew the right thing to do—but chose the safer thing instead. We compromise to keep the peace, preserve our reputation, or avoid the cost of conviction. But what if there is no middle ground? In John 19, Pilate tries to satisfy both his conscience and the crowd, only to discover that compromise with truth never produces righteousness. As Jesus is mocked, scourged, and ultimately condemned, we are confronted not only with the injustice of His trial but with the uncomfortable reality that indecision about Christ is itself a decision. This passage forces us to answer a question that Pilate could never escape: What will you do with Jesus?
